Christmas Gift Guide

It’s already the 3rd of December. You may be scouring websites in hopes of a deal, or you may just now be crafting out your list of must-buy-for relatives. If you are one of those people (like me) who aren’t quite done with your Christmas shopping, mostly because you have no idea where to even start, I thought I would do you a service and give you some lists for great Christmas presents. Either use these exact presents, or use this post as a springboard for your own list-making. Either way, sit back, turn on a good Christmas tune, and enjoy. Or get ready to start shopping online.

For the ladies:

Common Threads Etsy Shop: This Etsy shop is run by a wonderful Christian sister in Huntsville, AL. Why not support a fellow Christian and get something super cute?!

31: If you love organization like I do, you love Thirty-One Products. Jade Britton is donating her proceeds from this month to a family’s adoptive fund. So why not get something cute to mark off your list, and let the money go toward something AWESOME for a Christian couple?!

Essential Oils: If you’re one of those oily ladies, let me point you toward this sister who is also offering her proceeds for the month toward the adoption fund!!

My So-Called Life as a Submissive Wife: Get this for yourself. It is SO good. Or ask for it, but make sure if you ask your husband for it you don’t open it in front of others, as they might question him/you. =)

For the little ladies:

Girls Nightgowns: I adore shopping online at Kohls, because you can always get great deals and cash back. This is a great deal right now on night gowns for little girls. It comes with a matching night gown for their baby dolls. Precious.

For the guys:

Start2Finish Book: There are SO many great books available through Start2Finish. Devotional books, books on preaching, commentaries. You name it, the man in your life could use it.

For anyone:

Bible Study Basket: Adam Faughn put together a great list of ideas for the Bible student on your list. I would definitely highly recommend the Pigma Micron pens. SO good. Great stocking stuffer. Or gift for your favorite blogger. Whoever you decide.

Travel Map: Do you have a traveler in the family? Uncommon Goods offers a scratch off travel map which I think is simply fabulous for that student returning home from a study abroad experience that you’re not quite sure what to get them. Or for your favorite blogger. Whichever.

Awkward Family Photo Game: Uncommon Goods strikes again! If you’re a gaming family, why not add awkward family photos to the list of things you bond over! Just not your awkward photos. *Cannot fully endorse as I’ve not seen every question/answer.

DIY Pinterest Ideas: Go to this link to find a gazillion pinterest links that I deem doable. There’s a lot on Pinterest that’s a bit over the top, but this list is comprised of things actual people do. =)

Other Tips:

Wrap things individually. It’s much more fun that way – for everyone except the wrapper.

Make at least one thing for your spouse. Whether it’s love coupons or a scrapbook or something hilarious. Anything that takes you a sacrifice of time that shows how much you love them and cherish them.

Color coordinate wrapping paper. Robert and I put different kinds of wrapping paper on the gifts that need to go to his parents’ house, my mom’s house, and my dad’s house. Three sets of wrapping paper makes it much easier day-of when we’re trying to sort what goes where.

Do unique gifts. No one enjoys opening something that three other people have opened before them. It ruins the surprise. If you do end up getting everyone the same bath and body works combo, just wrap them in unique ways that make it fun!!

If you’re interested in some great websites for money-saving, or some thoughts on stewardship, definitely check out today’s episode of Wifey Wednesdays available in the iTunes store and on The Light Network’s website. It’s all about doing Christmas on a budget. Plus, you’ll find some great links in the resource section of the show notes!
