“I See You”
I see You in the spring, my God.
Your attributes abound.
The sun’s deep warmth reminds me of
Your love that’s shining down.
I see You in the blooms, my Friend,
Their beauty bursting forth.
It shows me what You see in me,
My beauty and my worth.
I see You in the tress, dear Lord,
Once bare and trembling so.
But with Your touch they live again,
A feeling I so know.
I see You in the breeze that blows
Though see it I cannot
But I know it’s there, just like You,
waiting to be sought.
I see You in the springtime rain;
The storms that last for hours.
I’m thankful You’re the One I serve,
The One with might and power.
I see you in the birds that sing,
Their sweet, melodious call.
In You, my God, my song is found;
My joy, my hope, my all.
I see You in my every step,
With every skip and stride.
And I’m thankful that the Creator of all,
Is the One right by my side.
