Two. Days.

With a moving truck arriving at our house in 2 days, I can assure you the last 48 hours have been crazy and exhausting and mostly out of control. But you know what? I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world! It’s difficult, moving, but it shows you a beautiful picture of people that you might never experience otherwise.

For instance, a group of our friends and brothers and sisters in Christ took us to dinner on Thursday evening and gave us beautiful cards filled with blessings that will keep us smiling for weeks and months to come! They are supportive and loving and I am assured that no amount of miles could possibly lessen my love for them. And, the good news is, regardless of where this life takes us, all of us have a citizenship in heaven and will be reunited there one day!

On top of that, a wonderful friend from East Hill has been my box supplier for weeks, and even late on a Friday afternoon after working a crazy-long week, he packed my Prius full of sturdy boxes that will make me smile each time I unpack one on the other side!

We’ve been given beautiful hand-made treasures that will adorn our new home and remind us of great friends in Tennessee, had lots of support and help from our physical families, and have even learned to rely on each other even more as we formed assembly lines of box taping/packing.

It has been a process, but it has been well worth it. I have so enjoyed my time in Pulaski, and am excited that when I arrive in North Charleston, family will be waiting for me there as well.

How beautiful this body Christ gave us! How sweet the fellowship, and how blessed we are to be members with a most perfect Head! My cup overflows, and as I look around at a box-filled house, I cannot help but smile as I think of all the ways God has richly blessed my life. May we ever say, in good times and bad, happy times and sad, that God is good. All the time.

  1. What a beautiful sentiment. We’re looking forward to getting to know the Hatfields better here in Charleston. God’s speed!
