We all have them: Christmas lists. By now, you have categorized the list to his family, your family, all of your friends, in-laws, “great” relatives, and the like. And, you likely know exactly what you are expected to give each one: stocking stuffer, all-out present, card, Christmas kiss.
And, as it’s Christmas Eve, perhaps panic has set in to some degree: Where did I put that present? Did I get them a present? You know the drill. Fortunately, I have just the thing for you: a free gift to give to your relative/friend/neighbor/mailman. And, it’s a gift they need.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23
Think about that list for a moment. Who on it isn’t a Christian? Why not share the gospel with them? Truly, unto us the free gift of the gospel has been given–and because of that we are expected to share it (Mark 16:15-16). And, since it was freely given, freely and liberally ought we to give it unto others. Not judging who is or isn’t worthy, or who will probably accept it. Jesus didn’t command that we convert; He commanded that we tell. And this is the perfect time of year to share the love that’s inside of you: the love of God which is able to save your loved ones.
If YOU haven’t become a child of God, you can! Today! All that is required of you is that you believe in the Lord Jesus and obey His commands. To become a child of God, Jesus commands we be baptized into His death, and raised to walk an entirely new and different, pure life with Him. What a beautiful gift to yourself this Christmas: putting your Lord on in baptism. And, what better gift to get this Christmas, than the free gift of God’s grace and salvation? Don’t delay! Claim your free gift today. And, if you’ve already claimed yours, give it to someone else!!!!!
Merry Christmas to you all, and may God’s grace fill your lives and the lives of those around you.
