Didn’t you hear? Will and Kate are coming to America!
Why is the world so fascinated with two people they’ve never met and honestly don’t know much about? It’s because they’re royals! And royals are watched, closely.
Today’s episode of The Royal Family Podcast is all about just that: being watched as royals. Sometimes people like to say that because I’m a preacher’s wife, I live in a glass house. Really, as God’s royal family, we all do. Because the world is looking into our lives, looking at every little thing, wondering what we’ll do in light of controversy or persecution or suffering. Like Will and Kate can’t forget who they are on their trip, we can’t forget who we are (and Whose we are) as we go throughout our daily lives.

Here’s an excerpt from today’s episode:
This week, take the cross with you everywhere you go. Keep it before your mind, reminding you on a regular basis that you’re a member of God’s family. You are a part of a bloodline that is pure and true and royal. Don’t forget. No matter where you go, don’t forget. The world is watching, so make sure you remember how you ought to behave as a member of God’s family.
My prayer for each of us this week is an echo of Paul’s words to the church in Thessalonica. Here’s what he wrote in 1 Thessalonians 3:11- 4:1:
Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;
May we all abound in the ways we ought to walk to please God. May we be clothed in holiness throughout our week so that when the world sees, they see Jesus.
