“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
I am fascinated with the Royal Family. Though I was not always super girly, I have always enjoyed princess things and castles and the idea of having servants and crown jewels and having to do dainty, proper things all the time. Now, that love has transferred from Disney movies into real-life princess Kate Middleton. However, the more I look at her life, and then the more I look at scripture, the more thankful I am that I am a princess! I am beyond thankful to be a daughter of God Almighty, a member of His royal family – His royal priesthood.

Here’s an excerpt from today’s episode:
“Ok, yes, we’re royals. But we also have a purpose, and that purpose is to proclaim praises of our King. My life isn’t about me anymore. I’m not special because I’m a royal, so I shouldn’t try to convert people to myself or bring glory to myself. Instead, I bring glory to the family name.” I point people to the One I serve, to the One who can make them members of His royal family, too. I don’t parade around acting better than others, but instead serve them and glorify God while I’m at it, realizing that before Him, I was in darkness, and He is the One who brought me out.”
