One of my favorite weekends of the year is this weekend: Diana Singing weekend. In case you’re unfamiliar with what the Diana Singing is, it’s a time when thousands (yes, thousands) of Christians gather together underneath a shed in Diana, TN and sing for hours and hours and hours. Last night, I was privileged to be there with my husband, Robert, from about 6:30pm until 1:30am. During those hours, we belted out countless hymns of praise to our God, fellowshipped with many of our brothers and sisters in Christ, and came away uplifted–though maybe a little exhausted.
If you haven’t ever been to the Diana Singing, you’re in luck! While the Friday night singing draws the largest crowd, the Saturday night singing is high quality (and still has tons of people!). It ends a little sooner so that we can all be ready to worship on Sunday. And that’s TONIGHT! So head on over to Diana, TN (just 15 minutes from Pulaski!) and sing your heart out to the One who gave you the voice you have!
BUT, if this is too short notice for you, mark your calendars for September! The Diana Singing comes around twice a year, and in September, the weather is usually a bit cooler! And it’s just as wonderful—great singing, great friends, and amazing fried pies (but you didn’t hear that one from me!). I’d love to see you there in the fall!!
If you have any questions, let me know! But if you’ve never been, absolutely make your plans to be there! It is well worth the trip, and the long hours!
