Just thought I’d go ahead and let the title be a preface for all of the people out there who have been conditioned to believe that when a 20-something posts big news to social media that they’re expecting a baby. We’re not.
So now that that’s out of the way…
I would like to think that my blog is always personal. It chronicles my studies and wonderings and struggles, exposing parts of my heart that Satan would like to keep secret. However, all of these personal posts have one thing in common: they’re tied to the holy scriptures. Today’s personal post is a little different, though, but this is the only means I have of mass distribution, so if you came here expecting or looking for a devotional thought, might I direct you to the archives? =) Today’s post is simply informational, reflective, and yet as always, directly from my heart.
The big, non-pregnancy related news is this: we’re moving! Robert is the new minister for the North Charleston congregation in Charleston, South Carolina…which is just a little ways from our current southern middle Tennessee residence. We are excitedly heading that direction in just two short months, which obviously means our lives are in a bit of an upheaval to say the least. Still, we are eager to see all that the Lord has in store for us as we move locations but continue to stay grounded in our service to Him.
While there will be a lot of changes in the next couple of weeks (like maybe meeting my 3 posts a week resolution sometimes and definitely having sore arms from packing boxes!), some things will never change. Our love of the people here and all over the brotherhood remains steady, because we are one family in many locations. Our zeal to do God’s will is strong, and we trust that He will open and close doors as He sees fit. And of course, our love for each other is only growing. It will be the first time we’ve been away from the families we came from, but we aren’t leaving the family we’ve created, and so we’re excited about this marriage-strengthening endeavor.
Please pardon our progress in the next few months, as our brains may be scattered and my posts may be sporadic. We long for your prayers to be able to meet the needs of the congregation in South Carolina, and we’ll gladly accept any 500+ mile moving tips you have to offer! Thank you all for your kind words and support, for your prayers and love, and for being such a wonderful group of people to call family. We are so very thankful that regardless of our geographic location, our citizenship is in heaven, and the more people we can meet and work with on this side will only make heaven that much sweeter.
For Robert’s thoughts on the big move, you can read a letter here.

#3 You guys are amazing and are going to be the biggest blessing to North Charleston! And I love that even though you are farther away after the move (sad), you seem closer because finally ALL of my favorite people are together and its just a matter of time and jobs before we join you, too! lol. Love you!!!
