Throwback Thursday: Relationship Edition

February has been my favorite month since 2008, because that was the month that changed everything. However, I’m getting ahead of myself.

I love Robert stories. Clearly, I love reading about mine and Robert’s relationship, writing about it, and reflecting on it. No one else may, but I sure do. And each time I read through the stories of us, I learn so much…remember so much…and thank God so much. My life has been bountifully blessed and that’s what I’m here to share today!

In typical throwback Thursday fashion, we’ve got some oldies, though not quite as old-school as could be. Still, if you like to chronicle things, like to know intimate details about my life and my relationship, or like to see how ridiculous I used to be, then these links are for you! And if you’re none of the above, then these links are for me–later on–as I reflect on how amazingly wonderful my husband is!

1: If you want to see where it all began – how it all began – and how hopeless it seemed prior to beginning, this post is for you. It’s called the Me Before Him and it’s a sad (but true) depiction of where I was before Robert came into my life and changed me!

2: After becoming BFF (because BFFs makes no sense in my head! Forevers? No.) with my Robert, we had a ways to go before we were together. Thanks to my other wonderful friend Nik, that happened pretty quickly. It all unfolds here in the Open Your Eyes! Post.

3: Once I opened myself up to the possibility of dating Robert, it was pretty endgame. No more spoilers, though. You just have to read it for yourself here: The Moment I Knew

4: A lot happens between the time you start dating and the time you get engaged, and this post pretty much explains a lot of it, and how blessed we were for the journey. Sounds super sad, but the Learning From Hurt post is one I need to read regularly and thank God for continually.

5: Fortunately for us, our story ends happily. Well, ok, our story isn’t over, but the pre-married story concludes with the engagement story, and you can find that here.

6: As an added bonus, here’s a little marital wisdom from after 1.5 years of marriage. I wrote it for one of my preciously wonderful friends who was getting married, but it still rings true in my book!

And hey, if you just have more spare time, there’s an entire Robert category on both my new and old blogs, so you can waste your day reading weird stories that I overshared with the world. And, if you didn’t even read any of those posts linked above, just know this: I love my husband with every fiber of my being, and while our journey hasn’t been perfect, it has been so very worth it. He’s the best.

ALSO, please share with me some of your most wonderful dating-engagement-married memories or pieces of advice. I’d love to be able to share them on, say, an episode of Wifey Wednesdays! Okthanks!
