“You Rescue Me”
Life is hard and just gets harder,
Days are long and nights are longer.
Trouble comes and stays awhile;
Brings its friends – Heartache and Trials.
But You rescue me.
Doubts arise and fears tag along,
Steal my joy and steal my song.
Satan comes and brings me low;
He steals my zeal and makes me slow.
But You rescue me.
When my heart is sore and my will is weak.
Sin goes on a winning streak.
I fall so hard, my knees are bruised.
Again, the tempter leaves me used.
But You rescue me.
And though I’m weak and oh so frail,
You pick me up each time I fail.
You sent Your Son to die for all,
Now all I have to do is call,
And You rescue me.
